A complete website integration in one plugin.

The ZIP contains the HoneyNotify browser SDK, service worker, WordPress settings screen, and visitor opt-in button.

Installable ZIP

Upload from WordPress

Use Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin. Activate it like any other WordPress plugin-no Composer, Node.js, or theme file changes.

Root service worker

Correct browser scope

The plugin serves /honeynotify-sw.js from the site root so browser notifications can work across the entire WordPress origin.

Flexible opt-in button

Automatic or shortcode

Show the configured button in the footer or place [honeynotify_subscribe] in a page, post, block, or widget.

Least-privilege access

Public keys only

The plugin uses a restricted ps_public_ client key and your VAPID public key. It never needs the VAPID private key or a server sending key.

Audience-ready

Web devices in HoneyNotify

Subscribers appear as Web devices in Audience and can be reached by device, user, tag, segment, or all-device targeting.

Your site, your prompt

Clear visitor choice

Choose the site name and button wording while keeping the browser permission request tied to an explicit visitor click.

Four-step setup

From ZIP to a test notification.

Create the Web channelIn HoneyNotify, open Channels & Setup → Web and generate the VAPID credentials.
Create a public keyCreate and copy a restricted ps_public_ client key for browser registration.
Install and configureUpload the ZIP, then paste the public client key and VAPID public key under Settings → HoneyNotify.
Subscribe and testUse HTTPS, click the opt-in button, confirm the Web device in Audience, and send to that device first.
Sending remains secure: create notifications from the HoneyNotify dashboard or your trusted backend. Never place a ps_live_ sending key in WordPress settings, theme code, or browser JavaScript.
Fits real WordPress sites

Use the button wherever it belongs.

The plugin can append a subscribe button automatically, or you can position it inside your own page layout with a shortcode.
